How does it work?
Each piece is custom designed by you! Just send us your photo either e-mail or hardcopy and we do the rest! You choose the pendant size, the style and length of the chain and your favorite photo. We take your photo, reproduce it, set it in your selected design and seal it with a special protective waterproof coating so that it can be worn anywhere – even in the shower! Hardcopy originals are unharmed in the process and will be returned to you with your completed order. Each piece is custom made by hand just for you!
What photos should I use?
We suggest choosing a photo that is a favorite! Remember it is very important that photos used be clear, crisp and in focus. Since we are generally cropping close to the face and hair, it’s best to avoid hats or glasses. You can use any photos either e-mailed JPEG’s or hardcopies up to 8 X 10. JPEG’s should be a minimum of 300 dpi.
How do I send my photos?
The fastest way is to send photos by e-mail to info@alisacatherine.com. Please reference your name and order number in the header.
Hardcopy photos can be mailed to us in a photo safe mailer. Please write your name and phone number on the back of your photo(s) in pencil. Originals will be returned to you with your completed order in the same condition we received them. Please do not send heirloom photos that cannot be replaced. If you want to use an heirloom photo, we suggest taking it to a photo lab to have a copy made, and sending the copy to us. We cannot be held liable for lost or damaged photos.
What if I want my photo in color or sepia?
We suggest black and white, which offers a timeless, classic look, and will automatically change all photos to black and white. If you would like we can keep your photo in color, or for an antiqued look change it to sepia. Just note any special preferences when submitting your photos or in special instructions section when ordering.
How do you crop the photos?
We generally crop your photos close to the face. If you would like your photos cropped differently, please indicate your preferences when submitting your photos or in special instructions section when ordering.
Can I use one or two people out of a group shot?
Yes! Just indicate when submitting your photo who should stay and who should be removed.
Can I use photos taken by a professional photographer?
Professional photos are copyrighted, so you must have permission to use a photograph by a professional photographer. Please contact us to obtain a Release Form and include the signed release from the photographer when you mail your picture in. We will not be able to use professional photographs not accompanied by a signed release.
I have a photo that I love, but there is something distracting in the background. Can you fix it?
As part of our regular service, we remove distracting objects in the background to enhance the subject of your photo. If you have any special preferences, just indicate your request when submitting your photos or in special instructions section when ordering. If additional work beyond what we normally provide is required, there may be an additional cost and we will contact you with details.
How long does it take?
Standard delivery is 2 to 3 weeks from the time we receive your order and your photo(s). If you need your jewelry in a hurry, we offer a RUSH service with a 5-7 day production time and 2nd day air for an additional fee. You can make this selection during check out. Can’t decide or need a gift quick? We also offer Alisa Catherine & Co gift certificates.

You can pay with Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express, Paypal, Check or Money Order.
What shipping options are available?
We offer the following shipping services:
USPS Priority mail: 7 to 14 days production time plus 2 to 3 day ship time $7.00 *not trackable
UPS ground shipping: 7 to 14 days production time plus ground shipping from OR $10.00 *trackable
RUSH: 5 to 7 days production time and 2nd day air $30.00
How do I take care of my jewelry?
All of our jewelry is sterling silver and it will tarnish in time. To help avoid it becoming tarnished when you are not wearing it, we suggest storing it in an anti-tarnish pouch, which will be sent with your finished jewelry. You can clean it with a soft polishing cloth or quality silver cleaner. Complete care instructions are included with your jewelry.
Can I get my jewelry wet?
Yes you can wear it in the shower or in the pool! Your photos are covered with a special protective coating that keeps your photos safe.
Can I add charms later to the pieces I am ordering now?
Depending on the piece, we may be able to add additional charms to your original piece. You may need to return the original piece to us. Additional shipping and labor charges will apply. Please contact us for details.
What if I want to give a piece as a gift?
Every piece of Alisa Catherine jewelry comes in a special anti-tarnish pouch packaged in a rich chocolate brown box with a sage green ribbon - even if you are purchasing it just for you! Your piece is all ready for gift giving - no wrapping necessary!
Do you offer gift certificates?
Yes! Gift certificates are available in any denomination.
What is your return policy?
Because each piece is custom made just for you, returns or exchanges cannot be accepted. Since our jewelry is made and finished by hand, slight individual variations are part of the uniqueness of each piece and should not be considered defects.
